a) Energy Sources, Natural-Exploitation
(From the Textbook)
This is a good example of a multidisciplinary subject which has also created difficulties in tryng to find proper measure necessary to satisfy associated with the matter however in a limited scope. It is not possibile to follow only technical analysis of some out of many renewable energy technologies and avoid comparison with conventional technologies not only in technical but also in economic and environmental respect. In addition, massive and sustainable use ofrenewable energy sources requires utilization ofwell devised state regulâtory mechanisms aimed at protecting other parts of the economy. For instance, without the control of prices of biodiesel, its uncontrolleduse may cause the price rise ofedible oil.
Renewable energy sources are still analyzed and compared to conventional energy systems and this textbook will also involve the research of economic viability of certain technical solutions. A starightforward software support has ben developed in MS Exel for simple cakculations enabling estimation of specific prices in the production of certain types of energy by employng renewable energy technologies. The textbook presents and explains this software wich is available at the website: http: //www.peec.uns.ac.rs.
(From the Reviews)
Publishing of this monograph will significantly improve the situation ragarding this complex subject and contribute to better understanding and practical use of renewable energy sources.
The textbook has been written in a proper language aimed at simplifyng and explaining complex matters. The authors have put a lot of efforts and succeeded in making heterogeneous substance unified by pursing analyses towards the viability of particular renewable energy technologies in practice. In that respect, the last chapter 9 of thetextbook will be very useful to readers. This Chapter gives simple and original way for a very useful calculation of effects arising from the application of particular renewable technologies.
