Slobodan Ilić rođen je 1983. godine u Novom Sadu, gde je završio o.š. Đorđe Natošević, a potom i gimnaziju Isidora Sekulić. Osnovne studije upisuje 2002. na FTN, smer E2, a diplomu mastera stiče 2007. godine. Doktorske studije završava u februaru 2014., odbranom teze "Kratkoročno predviđanje potrošnje električne energije u velikim elektroenergetskim sistemima".
