Po završetku osnovnih studija na Fakultetu tehničkih nauka, Univerzitetu u Novom Sadu, u januaru 2001. godine, zapošljavam se na Katedri za računarsku tehniku kao asistent pripravnik. Tu provodim tri godine, radeći na komercijalnim projektima vezanim za Micronas i MicronasNIT. Moj angažman je primarno vezan za razvoj programa digitalnih dignal procesora (DSP), optimizaciju koda i razvoj kompajlera namenjenih istoj platformi. Učestvujem u izvođenju nastave na nekoliko predmeta. U ovom periodu završavam i magistarske studije i branim rad pod nazivom "Jedno rešenje izbora strategije optimizacije koda za digitalne signal procesore". Tokom studija objavljujem nekoliko radova na domaćim i internacionalnim konferencijama. 2003. godine upisujem doktorske studije na Florida Atlantskom Univerzitetu u Boka Ratonu, SAD. U ovom periodu objavljujem veći broj radova na konferencijama i nekoliko radova u časopisima. Primarno se bavim mašinskom vizijom, obradom videa, kriptografijom i neuronskim mrežama. Tokom studija samostalno izvodim nastavu i učestvujem u izvođenju nastave na nekoliko predmeta. Aktivno se bavim istraživanjem u okviru projekata „One Pass To Production“ i „Center for Coastline Security Technologies“. Za izuzetna akademska dostignuća, 2005. godine, dodeljena mi je nagrada „Dr. Daniel B. and Aural B. Newell Doctoral Fellowship“. Tezu pod nazivom "Neural Network Approach to Video Object Segmentation" branim u avgustu 2006. godine. Vraćam se u Srbiju i nakon odsluženja vojnog roka bivam izabran u zvanje docenta na Fakultetu Tehničkih Nauka (decembar 2007.). Tokom karijere sarađivao sam i učestvovao/vodio projekte u niz preduzeća MicronasNIT (Novi Sad), Micronas(Freiburg, Nemačka), Motorola-iDEN(Plantation, SAD), ACE (Amsterdam, Holandija), CoreTex Systems (Boca Raton, SAD), RealNetworks (Seattle, SAD).
