The aim of the course is to set fundamentals for the practical application of tools and techniques of modern management designed for students of different previous formal education. Through the presentation of chapters describing the business environment and processes in e-commerce, communication skills and trends in the development of human resources, controlling and operational audit, insurance and risk management, media management, then trends in financial management the basis for working in the complex business environment are set.

After the course and direction towards selected fields and interests students will be able to adopt tools for business process management in a real environment. Students will acquire necessary knowledge and skills from different areas of business, thus gaining needed breadth and ability to see the "big picture" of the state of the company.

The subject structure will include selected chapters in the field of development of human resources and communications, e-business, controlling and operational audit, insurance and risk, financial management, marketing and media management, as well as healthcare management. Each of these topics will be presented through examples of modern business and the latest achievements in the subject areas.

Teaching is a combination of lectures and auditory exercises. The basic methods in knowledge transfer are case studies, analysis of real situations and simulation of events in a real environment. Modern practical examples have been selected to identify characteristics and trends of the areas in which students are improving their knowledge and skills.
