EE401) Basic Information
Course specification
Course is active from 10.10.2005.. Acquiring basic knowledge in the field of electromechanical energy conversion, electric machines, power devices, electronics and electrical drives. - ability to understand basic principles of electromechanical energy conversion
-ability to understand basic properties and operation methods of rotary machines Rotating magnetic field. Asynchronous machines: parts and construction, operating principles, applications, characteristics, ignition, speed control. Single-phase asynchronous motors: parts and construction, application, characteristics. Transients in transformers. The course consists of lectures and practice. In lectures, contemporary illustrations for intuitive understanding of the taught matter are used. In order to completely master the taught matter, problems are solved in practice, which helps students to independently solve problems from engineering practice. Part of the practice is carried out in the laboratory.
