Course specification
Course is active from 01.11.2012.. The objective of the course is to acquire basic knowledge in the field of Algebra necessary for further studying of similar subjects and training students for abstract thinking. Student should be able to apply the acquired knowledge from the field of linear algebra and analytic geometry in modeling of real problems from the field of technical sciences. Upon completion of the course, the student has basic knowledge in algebra. The student understands the fundamental concepts and basic theorems from complex numbers, polynomials, linear equations, matrix calculus, vector spaces, linear transformations, free vectors, and analytic geometry. He is able to solve tasks from the above fields and to follow courses in which algebra is applied. Complex Numbers, Polynomials, Linear Systems, Determinants, Matrices,Vector Space, Linear Transformations, Vectors, Three-dimensional Geometry Lectures; Numerical calculation practice. Consultations. Lectures are combined. In lectures, theoretical part of the course is taught followed by typical examples for better understanding. In practice, which accompanies lectures, typical problems are solved and knowledge from the lectures is deepened. Besides lectures and practice, consultations are held on a regular basis.
