The students will be enabled to appropriate the socio-economic knowledge on the urbanization in modern society. This type of knowledge presents the opportunity to humanistic approach in the science and the capacity to solve the practical problems in urbanism.

The appropriation of the knowledge on the characteristics and trends of urbanization-processes in the contemporary societies. This includes knowledge and learning on the globalization of cities, suburbanization-processes and ruralization. This mode of knowledge refers to the inequalities, contradictions in the cities, quality of accommodation, value-horizons of urban planning, urban land, communal economy, management of city government, and the direction of urban economy.
