Course is active from 05.09.2017.. The aim of this course is to acquire knowledge in the field of polymer shaping technologies, to learn technical and technological characteristics of certain types of machines and devices for polymer processing, to acquire knowledge in the field of tool designing and in tha application of modern technological methods and Computer Aided Enginereing in these areas. Acquisition of knowledge for design of technological procedures of plastic shaping, construction of tools and equipment selection. Introduction to plastic shaping technologies, concepts and definitions. Methods for plastic shaping : continuous and cyclic processes, hot and cold plastic forming, production of foam products, rubber forming technology. Introduction to plastic molding machines, machine types and plastic devices. Machines for continuous operations, cyclic effect machines. Injection molding machines for plastics. Machines for warm shaping of plastic. Plastic shaping tools, introduction, basic concepts, definitions. Standardization of tool elements. Application of modern methods for the design of plastic tools. Tools for injection molding plastic. Tools for warm plastic shaping. Extrusion tools. Tools for the processing of rubber products. Teaching is conducted with the active participation of students in lectures and exercises. The lectures present the technologies of plastics design, their application, theoretical basics and the principles of designing technological procedures, provide guidelines for the construction of different types of tools, display the machines, their classification and selection criteria. The exercises process designs of plastics, they select appropriate plastic molding equipment, check the theoretical solutions of the parameters of individual plastics forming processes, simulate these processes and check the projected technological process. Training for working in the Moldex3D software package is conducted. Also, students are familiar with the process of constructing concrete examples of the Solid Edge software package application package? NX. Getting to know some technological methods and appropriate equipment and tools is done through visits to specialized companies.
