Course is active from 26.10.2012.. To achieve knowledge about Communication networks, for more complex(with basic acces rules) and less complicated networks Students will achieve basic knowledge about Communication Networks. the course is compilation of presentacions, network adresses calcularion, netmask,diference of IPv4 and IPv6 and free addres space in nowdays TCP/IP network. In the course is also two labaratory excercise on network simulator. Introduction of basic concepts for understanding the operation of communication networks. Network typologies. Transport systems.
The difference between OSI and TCP/IP protocol stacks. Physical layer. Data link layer (Ethernet). Network layer (Ipv4). Network address translation. Routing. Static and dynamic IP address. Class address space. Transport layer (TCP, UDP). Ports as access points for different applications. Application layer (HTTP, DNS). Presentationes, calculus and labaratory.
