Course is active from 03.12.2018.. Acquiring knowledge about the method, structure and forms of writing the dissertation after the performed analyzes and other activities carried out within the given topic of the doctoral dissertation. By developing a doctoral dissertation, students acquire a scientific experience for creative work, writing works that need to describe the problems, the methods and procedures implemented and the results that have been achieved, as well as to give a new scientific contribution to the development of science and the application of their scientific research into practice. Additionally, the goal of preparing and defending the doctoral dissertation is to develop the ability of students to publicly present the results of independent preparation work in a suitable form, as well as to respond to comments and questions on the subject. Training students for a systematic approach in solving the given problems, conducting analyzes, applying acquired knowledge and accepting knowledge from other fields in order to find a creative solution to the given problem. By studying independently and solving tasks in the field of the subject, students acquire new scientific knowledge about the complexity of problems in the field of their profession. By developing a doctoral dissertation, students gain certain experiences that they can apply in practice. By preparing the results for public defence, presenting the thesis and answering the questions and remarks of the commission, the student acquires the necessary experience on the way in which the results of independent or collective work should be reflected in practice. It is formed individually according to the needs and the area covered by the given topic of the doctoral dissertation. The student, in agreement with the mentor, makes a doctoral dissertation in writing in accordance with the specified rules of the Faculty of Technical Sciences. The student prepares and defends a written doctoral dissertation publicly in agreement with the mentor and in accordance with the prescribed rules and procedures. During the preparation of the doctoral dissertation, the student is consulted by the mentor and, if necessary, by other professors dealing with the topic of the doctoral dissertation. The student makes a doctoral dissertation and, upon obtaining consent from the assessment and defence commission, he/she submits the dissertation to the jury. The defence of the doctoral dissertation is public, and the student is obliged, after the presentation, to give an oral answer to the questions and remarks raised.
