Course is active from 01.10.2017.. Enabling students from fundamental fields for obtaining professional knowledge and application in practice. Acquired knowledge is utilized as a basis for further improvement in professional courses. Complex study of problematic of water regulation and protection. Methods in sustainable basin management. Hydrological information systems based on ontology. Multi-purpose water utilization in basin – hydro-technical meliorations, water supply. Application of sustainable development principle in water industry. Ecological aspects in water basin management – protection of ground and underground waters. Waste water – origin, content, dynamics. Unit operations in water treatment. Water flow revitalization. Biological minimum and ecologically acceptable water flow. Influence of global climatic changes on hydrologic cycle. Appearance of extreme events (floods, small water and drought). Teaching is performed interactively in the form of lectures, auditory, laboratory and computer practice. At lectures, theoretical content is presented with characteristic examples for easier understanding of course content. In auditory practice, characteristic tasks are done and course content is presented in more details. At laboratory practice, the acquired knowledge is practically applied with the available laboratory equipment. Apart from lectures and practice, tutorials are also regular. A part of course content that constitutes a logical unit can be taken as a partial examination during the teaching process. Partial examinations are taken in written form and as tests. Examination grade is formed on the basis of: attendance at lectures and practice (auditory, laboratory and computer), success in partial examinations and written part of the examination (combined exercises and theory).
