Course specification
Course is active from 01.10.2013.. Introduction to scene architectural studies is a course familiarizing students with ideas initiating the process of thinking, creating and executing scene architecture. The course provides information on the basic concepts of the definition and area of operation of scene architecture through characteristic examples of works of scene architecture. One of the main purposes is familiarization with scene architectural studies through the evolution of architectural concepts and practices in different cultural, territorial and temporal contexts; familiarization with the context of scene architecture today through analysis of architectural works and social, philosophical, cultural, artistic and other contexts in which it is created and lives. Such an approach is designed to encourage students to engage in further, own research, evaluation and analysis during their education, in connection with overall architectural theory and practice. The knowledge acquired is applied in the framework of all other subjects. The program focuses on providing initial information on the genesis of architecture and town planning, i.e. its driving concepts and ideas, in both theory and practice, as well as on acquiring adequate orientation regarding developments in the area of contemporary scene architecture, with special emphasis on the situation in our country. Lectures. Workshops. Consultations. Exam.
