Course is active from 23.10.2012.. Acquainting with the basic roles and properties of the operating systems. Acquiring basic knowledge about programming under operating systems and writing scripts. After finishing the course the students are familiar with the basic roles and working principles of operating systems. They are able to understand the connection between the application software and the operating system and they are able to write programs which use its services. They also have basic knowledge about scripting. Programming under the Linux operating system on a PC computer. Writing simple scripts under Linux and Windows operating systems in shell and Python.
