Course specification
Course is active from 01.10.2013.. Acquiring basic knowledge of: logistics significance in economic system of one country, structure and tasks of logistics system and structure of logistics processes, thanks to which material goods flow transformation in time and space is carried out. By completing the course student will be capable to: distinguish the structure of the logistics system; defines the membership, basic functions and tasks of particular subsystems; identifies, describes and quantifies logistics processes; evaluate basics performances of logistic processes. Essence determinants of logistics – genesis and definitions. Systematic and process approach in logistics. Logistics system and subsystems: transport, transshipment, storaging, inventory management, information subsystems. Logistics and supply chains. Logistics processes. Logistics costs. Logistics service. Logistics in manufacturing and trading companies. Logistics providers. Logistics performances. Lectures, exercises, consultations, debates, team presentations. Knowledge testing : parcial test taking (collpoquium 1 and colloquium 2) or intire exam at once.
