Acquiring of basic knowledge about outage management and fault management in power network. Defining the basic management operations which are performed in transmission and distribution network due to management of planned and unplanned power outages. Establishing the basic concept of optimal supply restoration due to conditions of major events that affect large damages in power networks. Position of the idea to improve the power networks using the standardized reliability analysis calculation. Central position of the power network behaviors with the presence of the faults and power outages. Getting knowledge of power outages classification, their causes and consequences, operations and processes in the normal weather conditions and major storms. The ability of students to model and resolve the simple problems in the domain of planned and unplanned power outages in transmission and distribution networks, as well as in domain of power network improvements using standardized reliability indices. Basic definitions in outage management. Classification of power outage: 1) Planned, 2) Unplanned, 3) Non-outage faults. Planned outage management. Unplanned outage and fault management. Network management in major storms. Reliability analysis. Computer systems for outage and fault management. Lectures; Auditory Practice; Consultations.
