Course specification
Course is active from 31.10.2018.. Acquiring basic knowledge from the energy with special stress to the electric energy. Position of the electricity in the power energy mix. The basic orientation in the power engineering (DC or AC, single phase or three-phase electric energy, frequency and voltages). Structure of power systems and the idea of reactive power. Central position of the electric energy in the contemporary energy mix. The ability of students for sequence domain modeling the basic three-phase elements of power systems (consumers, lines, transformers, AC machines) in sinusoidal, three-phase symmetrical steady-states. The ability of students for modeling and solving simple exercises of three-phase power systems. Fundamentals of energy with special stress to the electricity. Fundamentals of power engineering: historical development, fundamentals of three- phase power systems. Basic elements of power systems: consumers, lines, transformers, AC machines. Substations for interconnection of power systems. Lectures; Auditory Practice; Consultations.
