EE307) Basic Information
Course specification
Course is active from 10.10.2005.. Acquiring basic knowledge in the field of electromechanical conversion of energy, synchronous and asynchronous machines. - understanding the basic principles of electromechanical conversion of energy - understanding the basic properties and modes of synchronous machines - understanding the basic properties and modes of asynchronous machines Synchronous machines, parts and construction, application, properties, parameters, equivalent circuit, vector diagrams, external properties, angular features, operating map.
Rotating magnetic field. Asynchronous machines: parts and construction, operating principles, applications, characteristics, ignition, speed control. Single-phase asynchronous motors: parts and construction, application, characteristics. The course consists of lectures and practice. Contemporary illustrations for intuitive understanding of the taught matter are used in lectures. In order to fully master the course, problems are solved in auditory practice which accompany lecture and encourage students to independently solve problems from the engineering practice. Part of the practice is carried out in the laboratory.
