Course specification
Course is active from 01.10.2005.. The goal of this course is to enable students to study the stability and the determination of critical loads and postcritical behavior of the elastic system as well as training for the analysis of different criteria for stability and synthesis of the obtained results. Knowledge gained enables solving practical engineering problems of stability rods and plates. In addition, students will be able to deal with static and dynamic stability problems in technique and how conservative and nekonzervartivne. Differential equations of motion and equilibrium of plane and spatial deformed rod. Determining the shape of the finite strain rod. Stability analysis method: Static (Euler) method, energy method, dynamic method. Connections between methods. Determination of the stability boundaries for different load cases and boundary conditions. Optimization of the rod. Nonconservative stability problems: Beck's column and the tube through which the liquid flows. Approximate methods for determination of the stability limit. Lectures, practical exercises and workshops. In lectures, theoretical part of the material accompanied by characteristic examples. Exercises to work on assignments and the material expands with new applications. In addition, make sure you are, within individual tasks, deals with the problems of the journal. Through the development of independent tasks, stidenti pass the written part of the exam. The oral part of the final exam is eliminational.
