Course is active from 04.12.2018.. Acquiring knowledge about airport design Ability to plan and design the airports. The acquired knowledge is directly applied in engineering practice. 1. INTRODUCTION. 2. ORGANIZATION OF CIVIL FLIGHT TRAFFIC. 3. AIRPORTS. 4. LOCATIONS OF AERODROM AND ORIENTATION OF RUNAWAY. 5. SAFETY ZONES OF AIRPORTS. 6. BASIC ELEMENTS OF AIRPORTS. 7. TAXIWAY. 8. HOLDING BAYS AND BYPASSES. 9. AIRPORT PLATFORMS. 10. AIRPORT BUILDINGS. 11. DIMENSIONING OF RUNAWAY PAVEMENTS. Lectures, auditory exercises, research papers and consultations. The lectures present theoretical part of the teaching in the form of presentations of individual method units followed by appropriate examples from practice, for easier understanding and convaying of the knowledge. On auditory exercises, lectures with more active participation of students are discussed in more detail. In addition to lectures and exercises, consultations are also held regularly. The student, on the basis of the obtained information (lectures, literature, consultations and general instructions at the beginning of the exercise), solves the assigned tasks and makes research papers based on subject topics. Written and positively assessed seminars are the condition for entering the exam. The exam covers the entire material presented during the semester and is taken orally. Grade is formed based on the attendance of lectures and exercises, evaluation of research papers and oral exam.
