Deepening knowledge and skills acquired in the previous course Introduction to Visual Research. Introduction to drawing and modelling a figure with emphasis on spatial relations. Perfecting the ability to transfer the spatial situation, perceived or imagined, into a drawing. Using visual research methods as an expressive medium and conceptual tool in scene architecture and design. Ability to communicate ideas, to induce sensation and express personal poetic through different artistic mediums. Ability to use visual research methods as an expressive medium and conceptual tool in scene architecture and design. The term 'spatial drawing'. Figure drawing and body-space relationship in the context of scene design and architecture. Representing the perceived and imagined space, expressing the atmosphere and narrative by use of visual elements. Emphases on visual research as means in the process of realizing the artwork in the field of scene design. Lectures and practical sesions. Consultation. Occasional visits to exhibition venues. Critical analysis of the works produced in the course.
During the classes of practical sessions, students solve a series of drawing tasks, which unite into the two projects – comic book, based on a personal narrative, and presentation of the spatial composition based on the linear perspective principles.
