Course is active from 01.10.2005.. Creation of personal creative discourse – theoretical, problem oriented, poetic – in relation to the diploma thesis topic and a wider thematic context. Through mentoring activities the student will acquire skills necessary to carry an independent research work which outcome will be sovereign and founded knowledge of problems, theoretical and poetical ground for the work on the diploma thesis. The student’s ability to apply acquired knowledge and experiences in future professional practice. Selection of mentor and definition of the diploma thesis topic from the field of scene architecture, technique and design, with the focus in the field of scene architecture. Establishing the research problem and the wider field of the research. Research work conducted by analysing selected literature, reference works from the contemporary practice as well as history. Establishing of the problem and poetic ground for the work on diploma project. The mentor of diploma thesis with the assistance of the student defines the theme and create the task of diploma project. Under the mentorship, the student examines through individual research work the selected literature, reference works from the contemporary practice as well as analogue phenomena from different historical epochs, in accordance with the specificities’ of selected theme of diploma project. Student, in collaboration with mentor, defines the programme, type and kind of scene architecture, i.e. performing space that will be the diploma project subject (theatre, concert auditorium, cinema, cultural centre, summer stage, performance space in public ambient etc.).
