Course is active from 01.10.2004.. The course aims to provide the student with an insight into a wide range of multimedia, in their history, creative possibilities, but also in the media itself - text, image, sound, animation, video and interaction. In addition to the concept itself, the student will be acquainted with current programs (software, applications) and other components of digital multimedia systems (ie devices, hardware). After completing the pre-examination and examinations, the student will be able to integrate more media into one coherent whole, using appropriate compressions and formats, and to understand their importance in distributing and delivering products to the end user. A broader understanding of the concept of a multimedia student will acquire through historical examinations of the development of information technologies in general, but also each media separately (their techniques, the context in which they came into being and the impact they have on society). Weekly fund of 2 hours of lectures will be devoted to the following teaching units: The Notion of Multimedia. Text. Image. Sound. Animation. Motion Graphic Design. Video. Interaction. Hypermedia. Multimedia Art. The teaching process is carried out using modern educational tools and methods, interactively, in the form of lectures and computer exercises. The theoretical part of the course, presented by examples and simulation of problem-solving, was given during lectures to facilitate understanding. Lectures are available to students in .PDF format. Computer exercises are organised to complement knowledge in graphics programs. In addition to lectures and practical work, consultations are also held regularly.
