Course specification
Course is active from 05.10.2012.. The objective of the course is to acquire basic knowledge in the field of Mathematical Analysis necessary for further studying of similar subjects and training students for abstract thinking. Student should be able to apply the acquired knowledge from the field of mathematical analysis in modeling of real problems from the field of technical sciences. The student should learn the basic concepts of Mathematical Analysis - sequences, limit processes, differential and integral calculus, ordinary differential equations and numerical series and be able to apply them. The acquired knowledge is used in further education and in professional subjects. The student is able to create and solve mathematical models from professional subjects using acquired knowledge from Mathematical Analysis. Elementary functions, Sequences, Real functions and variables (boundary values, continuity, differential calculus and their application). Taylor and MacLaurint series, Indefinite integral, definite integral and their application, Numerical Series Lectures; Numerical calculation practice. Consultations. Lectures are combined. In lectures, theoretical part of the course is taught followed by typical examples for better understanding. In practice, which accompanies lectures, typical problems are solved and knowledge from the lectures is deepened. Besides lectures and practice, consultations are held on a regular basis.
