Aleksandar Živković was born in Čačak on December 31, 1975, Republic of Serbia. He finished primary and secondary mechanical engineering school in Gornji Milanovac. He enrolled at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Department of Production Engineering in Novi Sad in 1998. He defended his diploma thesis entitled "Analysis of static behaviour of the main spindle" on November 27, 2003, with a grade of 10. He enrolled in postgraduate studies in 2003, majoring in Automatic Flexible Technological Structures. He defended his master's thesis entitled "Experimental and computational analysis of the thermal-elastic behaviour of the assembly of the high-speed main spindle of machine tools" on February 14, 2007. He defended his doctoral dissertation entitled "Computer and experimental analysis of the behaviour of ball bearings for special purposes" on February 1, 2013.
Since January 2004, he has worked at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, where until June 2007, he worked as a professional associate. Since June 2007, he has been an assistant for the narrower scientific field of "Machine tools, flexible technological systems and automation of design procedures ". Since June 2013. works as an assistant professor for the narrow scientific field "Machine tools, flexible technological systems and automation of design procedures" at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad. He was elected to the position of associate professor on July 15 2018, for the narrower scientific field "Machine tools, technological systems and automation of design procedures". He was elected full professor on July 15, 2023, for the narrower scientific field "Machine tools, technological systems and automation of design procedures" at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad.
