Ivana Šenk was born in 1984 in Novi Sad. She finished elementary school "Petefi Sandor", as well as high school "Jovan Jovanović Zmaj". Since 2003, she studied Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, where she graduated in September 2008, with an average grade of 9.59/10 during her studies. The title of her master thesis is: "Access management based on RFID technology". After her undergraduate studies, she enrolled in PhD studies at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, in the scientific field of Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation, where she defended her PhD thesis in May 2016 with the title "A model for product localization using Internet of Things technologies".
Since November 2008, she worked as a Teaching Assistant at the Chair of Mechatronics, Robotics and Automation at the Faculty of Technical Sciences, Novi Sad. In October 2016, she was appointed as Assistant Professor at the same Chair, and in 2021 she became Associate Professor.
In the period from November 2018 to October 2019 (12 months), she did her post-doc in Inria Grenoble-Rhone-Alpes research center in France.
Her main areas of research include automatic identification technologies, Internet of Things, smart objects and environments, and application of machine learning in modern SCADA systems and industrial automation.
She participates in the following courses:
