Veljko B. Petrović was born in Čačak in 1986. He completed "Dr Dragiša Mišović" elementary school in 2001, and the Čačak Gymnasium in 2005. He enrolled in the Faculty of Technical Sciences in 2005, and completed both bachelor and master's studies in 2010. He enrolled in doctoral studies in 2011 and completed them in 2018 with a thesis titled "Domains specific language for visualization evaluated with the statistical analysis of small data sets," advised by prof. dr Silvia Ghilezan, and prof. dr Žarko Živanov.
He has been an employee of the Faculty of Technical Sciences since 2010 where he took part in holding classes first as a teching associate (from 2010 to 2012) and then a teaching assistant (from 2012 to 2018), all at the department of Control and Computing, as part of the chair of Applied computer science. He took part in holding classes on such subjects as Computing, Programming and programming languages, Human computer interaction, Computer graphics, Multimedial systems, and Object oriented programming.
He was promoted to an assistant professor in the February of 2019 and has taken part in holding classes as the principal teacher in such subjects as Operating systems, High performance computing, Cloud computing, Operating systems and concurrent programming, and Computer Security.
He was a part of an Erazmus+ international project Information Security Services Education in Serbia (ISSES) No. 586474-EPP-1-2017-1-RS-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, as a member of the project team.
He is a peer reviewer for the following journals: Virtual Reality ISSN 1434-9957, Springer-Verlag, Sensors, ISSN 1424-8220, MDPI, Applied Sciences, ISSN: 2076-3417, MDPI, Journal of Clinical Medicine, ISSN 2077-0383, MDPI.
His scientific interests include the application of artificial intelligence to the analzsis of complex data, as well as computer security.
