Nikola Ilanković was born in 1994 in Subotica, where he graduated from elementary school and "Svetozar Marković" Gymnasium - majoring in science and mathematics as a holder of Vukova diploma. He enrolled in bachelor academic studies in 2013 on the study program Mechanization and Design Engineering. He graduated in 2017 with an average of 9.92. Title of the bachelor's thesis: "Calculation of the girder of the bridge crane with the given basic parameters". In the same year, he enrolled in the master's academic studies in the study program Mechanization and Design Engineering, study group Mechanical structures, transport systems and logistics. He finished his master's studies with an average of 10.00 and in July 2018 he defended his master's thesis entitled: "Analysis of influential parameters on the accuracy of measuring with a belt feeder". In the same year, he enrolled in doctoral studies in the Mechanical Engineering study program. He finishes his doctoral studies with an average of 9.86 and in March 2024 he defends his doctoral dissertation entitled "Research and analysis of influential parameters on the exploitation characteristics of conveyor belts".
Since 2017, he has been managing the Hermes hybrid vehicle project within the Department as a project manager.
From 2018 to 2019, he worked at the Faculty of Technical Sciences as a teaching assistant.
From 2019 to 2024, he worked at the Faculty of Technical Sciences as an assistant-master.
Since 2024, he has been working at the Faculty of Technical Sciences as an assistant with PhD.
