SRĐAN D. KOSTIĆ was born on December 19, 1986. in Leskovac. Graduated from the Faculty of Mining and Geology in Belgrade in 2010 in Geotechnics with average grade 10.0 as the best student in the generation. He defended PhD thesis ''Nonlinear dynamical modelling of earthquakes generated by stress change due to excavation of horizontal underground chambers'' in 2013 at his alma mater. In the period 2010-2015 he was wroking as project associate on the implementation of R&D, scientific and engineering projects at his alma mater. In 2015 he started to work at Jaroslav Černi Water Institute, where today he is employed as Geology Department Manager and senior research scientist. From 2014 to 2022 he worked at the Faculty of Mining at the University of Banja Luka as assistant / associate professor in charge of the courses "Rock and Soil Mechanics" and "Geomechanics", and since 2022. he has been engaged in teaching at postgraduate studies. In 2022, he was elected associate professor in Geotechnics at the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, where he teaches the course "Engineering Geology". He was a mentor on the preparation of two doctoral dissertations. He has published more than 30 papers in international peer-reviewed journals, 2 national monograph books, 3 chapters in international monograph books, 2 textbooks, 4 technical solutions, presented about 50 papers at international and national scientific conferences, etc. According to SCOPUS, his works were cited about 330 times without self-citations (h-index: 11). He was elected as a corresponding member of AESS in 2022.
