Course is active from 01.10.2013.. Objective of the couse is to develop ability to apply project strategies in order to increase project success. Strategic connections of project as a temporary organization and permanent organization where project is undertaken is of great importance for expected project success. Engineering manager who is working in project management field must have this integrative approach on the strategic level. Students who complete this course successfully will be able to develop project strategy, to select resources and to allocate them for different project types. Students will be able to connect organizational and project readiness as the main preconditions for project deliverables. Fundamental paradigma of traditional project management. Six dimensions of project success, UCP matrix, project realisation. Project Strategy. Project type according to Wheelwright and Clark. TALC. Strategic Focus. Organizational and Project Readiness. Interrelations between project type, project readiness components and success dimensions. Management of complex projects with combining business strategy and project management. Stakeholders prospective - influence on business purpose. Lectures are auditory with theoretical and philosophical discussion. Practices are directed towards deeper understanding of strategic impact on projects by discussing case studies.
