Course specification
Course is active from 21.08.2017.. Acquisition of basic knowledge in the field of exploitation of machining and technological systems, i.e. design of the machine tools for cutting as a system, as well as design of individual subsystems of the machine tools. Knowledge of the main characteristics of machining and technological systems. Knowledge of individual assemblies and components of the machine tools for cutting, from the point of exploitation and design. Introduction to the principles of modern methods of calculating of the machine tools. Systems and processes in production engineering. Technological and machining systems. Models of processing systems. Machine tool as an element of the machining system. Main characteristics of machines and systems: geometric, technological and exploitation characteristics. Defining the main characteristics of the machine tools. Principles of realization of basic forms of workpeace on certain systems. Kinematic structure of the machine tools for metal cutting. Design of machine tool components. Portable machine tool structure and drive system. Load structure of machine tools. Testing the behavior of machine tools in exploitation. Examination of vital elements and machine tools assemblies. Calculation of vital elements of the machine tools using finite element methods. The purpose and importance of maintenance and modernization of machines and systems. Teaching is conducted interactively in the form of lectures, auditory and laboratory exercises, and through consultations. The lectures show the theoretical part of the material illustrated by characteristic examples. Through auditory exercises, acquired knowledge is applied in defining the concept of individual subsystems of machine tools and machine tools as a whole. Through laboratory exercises, the acquired knowledge is used to analyze the behavior of the machine tools in exploitation and solve problems in the development of concrete workpeace. In addition to lectures and exercises, consultations are also held regularly. The examination is based on: attendance at lectures and exercises, tasks accomplished colloquium success and oral examination.
