Course is active from 21.08.2017.. Acquiring knowledge of project management in construction industry. Ability to apply the project management methodology in the construction industry at all stages of realization of construction projects. The acquired knowledge can be directly applied in engineering practice. Basics of project management and basic terminology in the field. Analysis of basic groups of project management processes: initiation of a project, planing of project realization, execution of the project, supervision and control of project realization and closing of the project. Analysis of the processes by areas of knowledge in the field of project management (project integration, scope, time, costs, quality, human resources, communications, risk, procurement, stakeholders). Basics of specific areas of knowledge of project management in the construction industry (security, environment, finance, claims). Lectures, auditory exercises, research papers and consultations. The lectures present theoretical part of the teaching in the form of presentations of individual method units followed by appropriate examples from practice, for easier understanding and convaying of the knowledge. On auditory exercises, lectures with more active participation of students are discussed in more detail. In addition to lectures and exercises, consultations are also held regularly. The student, on the basis of the obtained information (lectures, literature, consultations and general instructions at the beginning of the exercise), solves the assigned tasks and makes research papers. Written and positively assessed seminars are the condition for entering the exam. The exam covers the entire material presented during the semester and is taken orally. Grade is formed based on the attendance of lectures and exercises, evaluation of research papers and oral exam.
