Ability to solve specific problems from the domain of application of different methods and techniques of measuring and monitoring of individual environmental parameters. Mastering the methods, procedures and processes of applying acquired knowledge in the field of measurement and pollution control. Development of skills and proficiency for applying different methods and techniques for measuring environmental parameters. Ability to critically and self-critical thinking and approach in solving problems related to the realization of the process of measurement and analysis of results. Experiment planning. One-factor and multi-factor orthogonal plans. Searching the optimum by doing experiments. Fundamentals of metrology. Measurement methods. Characteristics of measurement instruments. Measurement errors. Measurement of some characteristic parameters of environmental pollution. Manipulation, transfer and recording of the measured values. Systems for acquisition and processing of the measured values. Fundamentals of statistic control. Control cards. Assessment of the environmental state by application of statistical tests. Teaching is done with modern didactic means and methods, interactive in the form of lectures, auditory and laboratory exercises. In addition to lectures and exercises, consultations are also held regularly. The lectures show the theoretical part of the material accompanied by characteristic examples for easier understanding of the subject matter.
