Course specification
Course is active from 03.10.2012.. Acquiring basic knowledge and training of students for planning, preparation and realization of measurements in the field of environmental engineering. Practical application of adequate statistical methods for the processing and interpretation of the obtained results from measurements in the field of environmental protection, with adequate table and graphical presentation of experiment results and measurement uncertainties. Students acquire the necessary knowledge in the segment of planning, statistical evaluation with relevant presentation, and accuracy determination of experimental results in different areas of environmental engineering. Theoretical part:
Planning, preparation and realization of the experiment. Application of relevant statistical methods for the processing of obtained results from experimental measurements; Determination of uncertainties and measurement errors; Relevant tabular and graphical presentation of the experimental results.
Practical part:
Planning, statistical evaluation and relevant presentation of experimental results obtained from the actual measurements in practice, from different areas of environmental engineering. Lectures present the theoretical part of the course. Within exercises, students through the computational and computer exercises solve practical problems/tasks in order to get a comprehensive perceiving of teaching material previously discussed within the lectures.
