Course is active from 23.08.2017.. Mastering the basic techniques of programming and usage of software applications with practical application in the field of energy and process engineering. Acquired knowledge is used to solve engineering problems, and also is a basis for further studying and professional improvement within advanced subjects. Introduction to MATLAB enviroment, toolboxes. Basic data types, arrays, matrices, structures. Working with variables, matrices, program flow control. Linear algebra, differential and integral calculus. Scripts and functions. Callouts, programming and debugging of user functions. 2D and 3D plots, charts. Working with files, import and export of data, connection with MS Excel and other software. Data processing, statistics using MATLAB. Visualisation of user interface and creating of applications. Simulink simulation environment, other MATLAB packages. Examples of usage in solutions for thermal systems. Forms of teaching: lectures, excercices on computers and in laboratory, consultations. Knowledge evaluation: practical part – mentored and individual work on 4 obligatory tasks; theoretical part – oral exam, according to the list of questions.
