Course is active from 01.10.2009.. Acquisition of basic academic knowledge about preventive measures in achieving safety and health at the workplace as a fundamental basis in occupational health. Improving relations between the workers and the working environment and the application of the precautionary principle in the organization of the working environment. The students are able to identify and evaluate the impacts of technical, ergonomic, health, educational, social, organizational and other measures and means in order to avoid the risk of injury and damage to the health of employees and / or their reduction to a minimum. Students should master specific practical skills which include an integrated preventive approach, with the aim of a comprehensive solving various engineering problems. The definition and significance of the preventive procedures; Application of preventive approaches in processes of design, construction, use and maintenance of: facilities intended for work and auxiliary premises, facilities intended for work in the open air; technological process of working with all the equipment to work; work equipment, structures and buildings for collective security and occupational health, auxiliary structures and facilities and other resources. Application of preventive approaches in manufacturing processes, packaging, transport, storage, use and destruction of hazardous materija.Primena preventive approach in the processes of design, production and use of resources and equipment for personal protection at work. Application of preventive approaches in education procedures, education and training in the field of safety and health at work. During the semester, students are required to attend lectures and exercises. After successfully realized examination prerequisites, students take the final exam, which consists of two parts: written and oral. The written exam can be taken through the two colloquiums.
