Subject: Components of technological systems
(17 -
H310) Basic Information
Course specification
Course is active from 03.10.2005.. The aim of the subject Components of Technological Systems is to master the basic knowledge of the components used in pneumatic, electro-pneumatic and hydraulic automated systems. The objective of the course is that a graduate mechatronics engineer acquires competences in order to be able to independently carry out engineering analysis of simple dynamic devices and systems and to design a simple control system for them. Students who complete the course and pass the exam are able to analyze the control functions of the simple dynamic system, and to design simple control systems. Graduate engineer of mechatronics acquires competencies that allow him to independently carry out engineering analysis of simple dynamic devices and systems and design appropriate simple control systems for them. The basic components of technical systems: mechanical components, pneumatic components, hydraulic components, electrical components, mechatronic components. The basic component assemblies. Actuators of technical systems: Pneumatic cylinders and motors, hydraulic cylinders and motors, electric motors and linear units. Pneumatic, electric and hydraulic handling devices. Pneumatic, hydraulic and electric control valves, valves and regulators. Simple control schemes. Teaching takes place through lectures and exercises. All exercises take place in a laboratory with appropriate equipment. During the exercise, the student is obliged to do practically oriented tasks. Knowledge testing takes place through two tests and a final exam, whereby the student must do all foreseen exercises before that. The final exam is written.
