Subject: Automation of work processe
(17 -
H1403) Basic Information
Course specification
Course is active from 03.10.2005.. The aim of the subject Work process automation represents mastering knowledge in the complex control techniques that are used in pneumatic, electro-pneumatic, electro-hydraulic and hydraulic systems which allow the student to independently perform engineering analysis and design the adequate control system. The aim of the course is that graduate mechatronics engineer acquires competences in order to be able to independently perform engineering analysis of various complex devices and systems, and to design the control system for them. Students who complete the course and pass the exam are able to analyze the control functions of the complex dynamic system, and to design complex control systems. Graduate engineer of mechatronics acquires competencies that allow him to independently carry out engineering analysis of complex dynamic devices and systems and design appropriate complex control systems for them. Control and regulation. Control signals. Choice of automation technique. Pneumatic control systems. Methods for solving the control problem in the pneumatics. Cascade method. Tact chains. Mechanical sequencers. Comfort of control systems. Hydraulic control systems. Electropneumatic control systems. Relay control schemes. Electrohydraulic control systems. Teaching takes place through lectures and exercises. All exercises take place in a laboratory with appropriate equipment. During the exercise, the student is obliged to do practically oriented tasks. Knowledge testing takes place through two tests and a final exam, whereby the student must do all foreseen exercises before that. The final exam is written.
